Today, the class toured Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Brian Durante, partner and funeral director.
As we walked through the facility, students were given a clear look into the responsibility that comes with serving individuals and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Brian spoke openly about the level of care, attention to detail, and professionalism required to do this work well.
At its core, the conversation centered on serving people at the highest level. In an industry where trust matters deeply, the way you treat others is everything. Hansen-Spear has built its reputation on consistency, compassion, and a commitment to doing things the right way every time.
Students also gained insight into the operational side of the business, from process and preparation to the importance of clear communication and managing expectations.
This was a unique and in-depth look at a historic business in our community and a reminder that leadership and service matter most when the stakes are highest.
