Always an eye-opening, and nostril-opening, site visit to the Galesburg Sanitary District with Marshall Schrader, District Superintendent.
Marshall shares the history of the Sanitary District and introduces us to Brandi Young, Plant Superintendent and Eric Oliphant, Plant Chemist, to walk us through the Treatment Plant and how the Collection System operates.
6-7 (six/sevenšŸ¤“) million gallons of waste water are treated every day.
Galesburg has 160 miles of sanitary sewer pipes and 58 miles of storm sewer pipe.
Marshall shared there is a lot of innovation and entrepreneurial opportunities in this industry waiting for CEOs to be creative and develop ways to improve handling and use of waste water.
Thanks Marshall, Brandi and Eric for sharing how the GSD is a must have for our area.
