Our CEO class recently visited Wiley Realty, where we had the opportunity to talk with Phil Wiley and learn about his experience in real estate.

Phil told us he started at a young age and bought his first house when he was just 18 years old. He also shared that he actually lost money on that first house, but he didn’t quit and kept going. It was cool to hear how he stayed consistent and has been doing real estate ever since he was 18.

One thing that really stood out to the class was when Phil said, “Your past is behind you,” and that “everyone has a purpose.” This made us realize that mistakes don’t define you, and you can always grow. He also showed us what hard work can do, as he has bought around 375 houses and even had 98 units at one time.

Thank you, Phil, for taking the time to speak with us, share advice that will help us in our own businesses, and for always supporting Clay County CEO!
