Students, you will be making so many decisions in the next 10 years! What if you could make these decisions without being in debt? This was the theme of the discussion with Luke Harris. Luke joined us to talk about his journey - in corporate America, supporting a family of five and being trapped with DEBT for years. When life opened the door as a business owner in a recycling company, the tides began to turn. Eventually Luke sold the recycling business, discovered financial freedom through Dave Ramsey methods and now owns a thriving North American cycling business that continues to grow year after year.

There was a practical approach to help students understand the cycle of debt today between mortgages, car payments, student loans and family life. He also helped provide a method for being debt free through college and paying cash for a car. These are conversations that can have a lasting impact as students make many decisions for the future in the years immediately ahead.

It was also amazing to learn more about Crossroads Bike Tours. Started back in 2019, the company continues to expand and grow to a multi-state and locations in both the US and Canada. It has also become a family affair.
- Luke encouraged students to find something they loave and go after it.
- Always answer the phone! Especially when you know your demographic and they value that.
- When you make a mistake - own it. Do your best to resolve the situation and turn the experience around for your customer.
- Be a subject matter expert in the business you are providing. Always continue to learn more and tweak business as needed based on what your customers want.
- Don't be afraid to grow and expand. Today, Luke's sons have joined him as they continue to open up new tour opportunities.
