Magic Monday✨
Starting the week off strong, the Johnson County AND Union County CEO Program classes got together at Pizza Villa to learn more about the DISC (Decisive, Interactive, Stability, and Cautious) personality types worked together and communicated. Our Guest speaker, Chris Egelston- cooperate entertainer, infotainer, AND magician-went over with us our class personality types as a whole, then we watched four students act out as a DISC personality type and try to communicate with the others.
We were split up into groups to try and figure out how to form a tower with merely raw spaghetti, a rope, a pair of scissors, tape, and a dream. Once we made our tower, we had to successfully place a marshmallow on top without the whole thing collapsing.
We learned that even though you could spend all day having fun with someone with the same personality type, they may not be the best business partner. We gained understanding of the other personalities and how they function aswell. Also, working with someone you are unfamiliar with may cause you to butt heads, but that leads to progress quicker. Lastly, if you want something accomplished, you must learn to work together with your fellow employees.
