Weleful Wednesday 🍀

Today, the Johnson County CEO class traveled to the Johnson County Extension office, where we heard from guest speaker Jody Johnson- Illinois Extension Office and our CEO board treasurer- to indulge ourselves in the 4-H program and to learn more about how to work as a team.

📄-In today’s activities, we started with giving someone at the end of the table a sheet of paper, then they had to draw something on it in 15 or so seconds then they had to pass it on to the next person until it reached the other end of the table. The point of this activity was to remind us that you should always share your ideas, even if they are disliked by the majority, so they can turn into something even greater than you imagined.
✍️-Our second activity was one person had to describe a picture and the other had to draw it without knowing what the picture looked like. The point of our second activity was that we must give clear and consistent instructions if we want the project to turn out as planned.
💐- Our last activity was to take scrap pieces and try to make something out of it while thinking about the purpose behind said project. The point of our last project was to think outside the box, use our creativity, share our ideas, and shift our perspective.

I gained a sense of understanding from this visit. Working with my peers in CEO is sometimes a challenge- but always a blast. The vast majority of personalities we have in this stunning group is what makes Johnson County CEO one of the best programs out there. Working together in situations and activities like these is what will make us stronger, individually and as a team. The support and fun times we gain from these experiences, I know we will carry with us into our futures.
Lastly, I want to give a BIG shoutout to Mr. Johnson- CEO board treasure Ms. Kristi and Ms. Dena- 4-H Extension Staff- for showing us and telling us about what it takes to communicate effectively! Johnson Co. CEO will always appreaciate the time you put into this program. We had a splendid time with you all today, and we hope to see you again soon. 😊
