The Johnson County CEO program got to visit the local business Ned's Shed, which has been operating since 1953. We learned about what it takes to run a small, locally owned business and the challenges that come with keeping a business successful for so many years. One important thing we discussed was how paying with cash can help small businesses save money because debit and credit card transactions often come with processing fees. They were also kind enough to offer us milkshakes and fries during our visit. Overall, it was a warm and welcoming experience that helped us better understand the importance of supporting local businesses and everything that goes into running one.
