This is CEO member, Karlee Piercefield. We have just completed the book, Things You Wish You Knew Yesterday, written by the architect of the CEO program, Craig Lindvahl. My favorite chapter in this book is titled “Nobody Cares About The Storm.” I related to this chapter because it teaches an honest lesson about life and personal struggles that you go through along the way. The chapter explains that while everyone goes through difficult times, the world does not stop for our problems. Instead of focusing on the storm itself, the chapter says to focus on how you respond to challenges and continue moving forward. What makes this chapter so meaningful to me is that it’s message about resilience and perspective. Craig Lindvall shows that hardships are a part of life, but they do not define a person. One of the most meaningful ideas in the chapter is the quote, “Do what you’ll say you’ll do.” This message emphasizes integrity and accountability. Even during difficult times, people should stay true to their word and continue working hard despite obstacles. Even when others may not fully understand what someone is going through, people still have the ability to grow, adapt, and overcome obstacles. The chapter reminds me to stay strong during difficult moments and not let setbacks control my future.
