Her journey—from Southeast Missouri State University to marketing—was a great reminder that career paths aren’t always linear, but every experience matters.

Shawnna also recognized UCCEO team member Mariel McGrath, who completed a work observation day alongside Medical Director Dr. Katy Painter and the Rural Health team—gaining firsthand insight into rural healthcare. 👏

💭 Mariel shared how Rural Health has played a pivotal role in her senior year through mentorship, job shadowing, and scholarship opportunities—helping her grow and step outside her comfort zone.
